While consulting via Mediahorse and way before blogging platforms were readily available – I worked with Worth to enhance the Cabinet Office’s intranet to include a blogging platform.

The internet was called the Government Communication Network, its purpose was to support and develop skillsets and talent through the ranks. It was heavily trafficked by government communicators and was a central location for professional support & information sharing.

The project featured high profile contributions from Government staff including the Permanent Secretary, Matt Tees who was new to his role, and keen to use the tool to reach a key internal audience.

Response was great, and participation was secured from other high profile members of the communication team.

Other intranet features included a twitter list (who to follow), a wiki and job boards.
